We are currently accepting manuscripts for our 2026 fiction anthology.
Pete’s Press held our third annual Pitch Battle in May at the Cathedral Village Arts Festival. This
was where authors of all levels pitched their ideas for short stories to a panel of judges. Many of the remarkable stories that came out of that occasion will be included in the next anthology.
This year, we’re growing the project. And for that to happen, we need you.
Our objective is to produce a 24-story Short Story Advent Calendar, one for each day leading up to Christmas. We are seeking more submissions to achieve that.
GUIDELINES:
3,000–5,000 words
Any genre of original fiction, (absolutely No AI use, please.)
The theme of this fiction anthology is Written Wanderlust. Take us through a literary
journey through the written word. What is the best story you could tell, while gathering in the evening with strangers?
