A new fiction anthology for 2026 is underway!
In May at the Cathedral Village Arts Festival we held our third annual Pitch Battle, where fearless writers pitched their short stories to our terrifying panel of judges. The resulting stories were fantastic, and all deserve a place in the next anthology!
But we want more!
This year we hit upon the idea of creating a Short Story advent calendar. One short story to read each day in the run up to Christmas! So, ideally, we need 24 short stories, please!
Usual parameters: 3000-5000 words of original fiction, in any genre. Most importantly, these DO NOT have to be Christmas/Holiday themed! We’re after any story that people will enjoy, that just happens to be published in December.
